At E.F. Alvarez & Company, Alicia Castillo is responsible for all aspects of tax compliance including preparation and review of all federal, state and local tax returns. She is constantly working on identifying opportunities and procedures to implement improvements in the tax compliance process.
Alicia is an experienced and respected accountant with more than 15 years of public accounting experience. Her career with E.F. Alvarez & Company goes back to 1992 when she began working at the firm as a college intern. Alicia’s internship eventually transitioned into a full-time position. She is a frequent presenter at the construction conferences on the subject of construction taxation.
Alicia is a licensed CPA in the states of Florida and Georgia. She is also a member of Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Alicia graduated from Florida International University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and again from the school’s graduate program in 1997 with a Master’s degree in taxation.
